Nongovernment establishments, known and licensed as specialty hospitals, primarily engaged in providing diagnostic and medical inpatient treatment for specialized categories of patients (except mental and substance abuse). These establishments have an organized medical staff, inpatient beds, and equipment and facilities to provide health care to specialized categories of patients.
