This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in furnishing delivery of individually addressed letters, parcels and packages (generally under 100 lbs) by truck or other land vehicle (except locally or except by air or by the Postal Service). Included are establishments that perform intercity transportation as well as establishments that, under contract to them, do the local pick-up and delivery.
